On Friday, March 7, 2025, I had the joy and honour of participating in the photography exhibition “8 Female Photographers Present the World Through Their Own Lens”, held at the Cultural Venue Palia Ilektriki, in Paphos.

This exhibition was more than just a presentation of photographs, it was a celebration of female perspective, creativity, and expression and was held on the eve of March 8th, International Women’s Day. Eight women came together, each telling her own story through light, shadow, emotion, and detail. Through our individual lenses, we shared fragments of how we see, feel, and interpret the world around us.

For me, this experience was especially meaningful because it was the first time I had ever participated in an exhibition. Seeing my photographs printed, framed, and displayed on the wall for the very first time felt surreal — truly a dream come true. It was one of those quiet, powerful moments where everything slows down and you simply take it in.

Sharing my work in a public space felt both vulnerable and empowering. Watching people pause in front of my images, reflect, and connect with them in their own way is something I will never forget.

What made the evening even more emotional was seeing so many of my friends and family there to support me. Looking around the room and recognizing familiar faces — people who have witnessed my journey, encouraged me, and believed in me — filled me with happiness and deep gratitude. Their presence meant more to me than words can express.

The exhibition also carried a charitable purpose, with all net proceeds donated to the Red Cross.

This special event happened just one day after my birthday, marking the very beginning of my 31st year — a perfect way to start this new chapter. One thing I take away from this is that everything unfolds in its own time — and when the moment is right, your work will be truly appreciated.
